I managed, wrote and researched all fully bilingual social media content for ‘New Approaches’, a £1.3 million capital project which transformed the Ceredigion Museum and Aberystwyth Tourist Information Centre, amalgamating the two services in a breathtaking new annexe which includes a new Tourist Information Centre/reception, shop, café and a community engagement activity plan.
I worked with staff, volunteers, organisations such as the Heritage Lottery Fund and Happy Museum, the council, building contractors and specialists to communicate complicated building projects to the community, online and via a quarterly printed and emailed newsletter.
I also publicised events, workshops, visiting exhibitions and the museum’s collection, via short films, digital storytelling, TV and radio appearances, Facebook Live and occasional on-the-ground competitions.
